The Sweet Rose is an exquisite 3/4 Arabian 1996 daughter of Amurath Baikal. She is a tall mare standing at 15.2 hands and is extremely athletic, currently trained in country pleasure and show hack, she also shows potential in costume. The mare is extremely level headed, and while posessing enough snort and blow in the show ring to turn all the heads, she is docile enough to be a lesson horse, trail horse and to cart around the children of friends and family.
Sweetie is a multi-champion in halter, and so far has always pinned at the top of the classes for us- even pregnant and nursing with a foal at her side. Her sire, Amurath Baikal is a Reserve National Champion in halter, and is the blending of two of the breed's most influential horses, *Bask and *Sanacht.
On Sweetie's dam side is Multi Regional Champion National Show Horse mare, Comin Up Roses. Sweetie's full sister, Sweet Pea is also a National Top Ten, Regional Top V, and East Coast Champion winner in halter. Her 3/4 sister, Peppermint Paddy RF is a regional champion in both open and AAOTH at only 2 years of age!
The Sweet Rose is truly shining as a role of producer. With four foals on the ground as of 2011, her progeny have earned 2 National Championships, 1 Reserve National Championship, 8 Regional Championships, 8 Regional Reserve Championships and multiple Class A and local Championships. 100% of her foals shown at the Regional level are pinned Champions, and her 2008 foal, Maglorix Z will hopefully make his Class A and Regional debut in 2012.
She produced an amazing filly on May 13th 2006, Magnifiq Z, by three-time National Top Ten Stallion Magneeto WLF. Magneeto is a stunning son of Magnum Psyche who has won honors at Nationals, Scottsdale, Multiple Regionals and futurities. Magnifiq Z was the 2007 Region 15 Reserve Champion Half Arabian Yearling Sweepstakes filly and has gone on to garner 8 Regional/East Coast Championships and Reserves.
Sweetie out did herself again on May 17th, 2007 with a stunning colt by Multi US, Canadian and Brazilian national champion stallion *Magnum Chall HVP. Maghnus Z+/ is a multiple main ring National Halter champion and at just 4 years old earned his first Regional Reserve Championship under saddle- his second show ever under saddle!
In 2008, she produced another amazing colt by Magneeto. Maglorix Z has already been sold, and while he hasn't made a Class A debut yet, he is a multiple halter, most classic, liberty and SHIH Champion, with several SHIH scores in the nearly unheard of MID-EIGHTIES!
2010 blessed us with a magnificent colt by Magnum Psyche. Magnifico ZF was pinned the 2011 Region 16 Champion HA/AA Yearling Colt/Gelding straight out of the pasture with just one week of halter training! What a stellar career ahead of him!
She has taken two seasons off from motherhood- but 2012 will see her bred to another of the industry's finest stallions....
